The Royston district is one of Nevada’s better
known turquoise production areas. The Royston
Turquoise mine is located near Tonopah, Nevada.
The mine was discovered as early as 1902 and are
the oldest patented mines in Nevada.
Royston turquoise is known for its beautiful deep
green to rich light blue colors. These unique color
ranges are what makes this stone so special.
Royston stones are often two-tone displaying both
dark and light green and sometimes blue. Royston
has a heavy matrix ranging from
brown to gold in color.
This matrix makes for beautiful combinations
with the color variations of the
Royston Turquoise stone.
