Kingman Necklace

A necklace of this shape and color is a staple piece to add to any outfit! Looks great with Navajo Pearls or on its own! This pendant measures 1 1/4 inch in length and 1 1/8 inch in width. Artist stamp Larson L. Lee & stamped sterling. This pendant will fit Navajo Pearls up to 4 MM (Sold Separately). The Kingman mine in northwestern Arizona was one of the largest turquoise mines in North America. It is owned by the Colbaugh family, along with the Turquoise Mountain Mine. The terms “Kingman” or “high blue” refer to the blue color usually displayed in this stone. It has become a color standard in the industry. The mine became famous for its rounded, bright blue nuggets with black matrix. Few turquoise mines produced nuggets, especially of this quality. Old natural Kingman Turquoise is rare to find, but they have been mining new Kingman Turquoise recently.
